Why is it so wrong to not like Twilicorn?

Can someone give me an answer?

And if I do, is it still right?  Would turning Twilight back seem like a cheap cop-out that would make MMC a futile exercise?  Should I believe what the writers and such say on Twitter?  Should I hope Twilicorn will be temporary, only to have those hopes dashed?  What should I do?  What should we do?

I brought up a point to MyLittlePrime a while back. There's a series a videos on Yahtzee Croshaw's Youtube channel (yahtzee19) called "The Ego Review." In one segment (7 Days a Skeptic I think) where Gabriel Morton, his friend/co-host, points out how fans of something will relentlessly defend their passion regardless of its quality. When this was mentioned my mind immediately jumped to the MLP fandom.

It's human stubbornness my friend. People can be way too critical when they encounter someone with an opposing view. I find it's best to just live and let live.

And if the writers decided to just magic Unicorn!Twilight back...I will be at a loss for words. Because I'm happy? Angry? Confused? Can't really say. I miss old Twi that's for sure, but I can't imagine an organic way to bring her back at this point (then again, I can't think of every possible scenario).

I've packed my bags and I'm moving out of Equestria and into Foenum. You can carpool with me if you'd like.
