Excelsior and the Black Death Chapter 5“We have to do something.” Excelsior said.Excelsior and the Black Death Chapter 5 by writemaster93
“We know, you’ve sssaid that sssixty timesss.” Khobra said.
The group was still on the banks of the lake, tending to the dead the Bloodbathers had left.
“The Bloodbathers are running around out there, looking for the things on this list.” Excelsior said, holding the parchment up. “We need to find out why they’re looking for these things and stop them.”
Jabro took the parchment and read it.
“Judging from the various deadly and dangerous items on this list, I’d have to say a majority would be found in Cursed Locations.” He said.
“Wait, how can there be more Cursed Locations?” Almira asked. “I thought we got them all.”
“Well, it’s kinda like when you buy a bunch of trunks to put your stuff in, only to realize you don’t have a lot of stuff, so you end up with a lot of empty leftover trunk
Excelsior and the Black Death Chapter 4Excelsior and his band had left Arthenon several hours ago and had been tromping down the road for all that time.Excelsior and the Black Death Chapter 4 by writemaster93
“Are we there yet?” Jabro asked for the fifty-seventh time.
“We’re nearly there.” Excelsior replied for the fifty-seventh time.
“Do you even know where we’re going?” Almira finally asked.
There was a pause.
“Not exactly…”Excelsior finally admitted.
“So we’ve been walking out here for the passst ssseveral hoursss for NOTHING?” Khobra snarled.
“Well, that’s one way to look at it…” Excelsior muttered.
“Run, man! They’re back! They’re back!”
A running man crashed into Excelsior, knocking both of them to the ground.
“Ugh…where’s the fire?” Excelsior moaned.
The man scrambled to his feet and looked around wildly.
“They’re back! They’re back! Oh, sweet gods
Excelsior and the Black Death Chapter 3When Excelsior and his companions left the castle of Queen Medusa XXIII, they left with an unexpected compatriot: Stheno, the gorgon they had brought with them originally. The queen had effectively banished Stheno from her court and decreed that she would remain with Excelsior’s group as her punishment. Needless to say, neither party was pleased to hear this.Excelsior and the Black Death Chapter 3 by writemaster93
Excelsior, however, barely noticed. As his comrades said goodbye to Medusa’s servants, his mind buzzed with the cryptic warnings that Medusa had given him. What she had was believable, but could it really happen so soon?
When they had all shifted back home, they were warmly greeted by their friends at home.
“Ooh! Who are you?” Sea Star chirped upon seeing Stheno.
“Nunya.” She replied.
“Yeah. Nunya business. Now buzz off!” Stheno growled.
“Ahh, you’re grumpy. I like you!”
Excelsior and the Black Death Chapter 2Excelsior and his group transported onto an island of columned buildings, populated by gorgons and snake men, all dressed in togas and other dignified finery.Excelsior and the Black Death Chapter 2 by writemaster93
“Impressive.” Excelsior said.
“Oh, yeah.” Jabro agreed. “They’ve got a bad reputation, but gorgons do have a taste for the finer things in life.”
The group began to walk through the streets, taking their prisoner with them, herself bound and blindfolded, as to prevent the usage of her stare. Eventually, they reached the palace, the door guarded by two gorgons with armor and spears, one with adders for hair, another with asps for hair.
“State your name and business.” The asp-haired one said, pointing her spear at Excelsior.
“My name is Excelsior. These men here are my comrades. I’m here because a servant of this castle tried to kill me and injured Asterion, the Minotaur here with me.”
Caetus and Khobra pushed the gorgo

Chapter 3: Open Book
The mysterious voice caused Spike and the rest of the group to jump slightly. To the small dragon, the voice sounded cold, foreign and as if a sharp claw was placed on his shoulder and gripped tightly. A shiver ran down his spine.
"What may I help you with, travelers?" the deep voice echoed through the small library and the walls of books.
"E-Excuse me? S-Sir? Where are you?" Spike called out, trying his best to not trip over his own words.
In the back of the library, a pony shaped figure trotted out from a doorway, revealing a tan unicorn with a long brown and grey mane with a connecting beard of the same color. Wrapped around his body was a dirty white jacket that seemed as old as was. Coughing and wheezing, he trotted towards his customers, "Sorry for the delay, I was enjoying an evening pipe. Wasn't expecting any patrons at this hour. Now then, what can I help you with?" His grey eye
