Excelsior and the Quest for Arthenon Chapter 19Excelsior awoke on a soft carpet of emerald green grass. He looked up to see the sun shining through the leaves of towering trees. A warm breeze blew gently through the forest, but he felt cold as he rose and saw the massive cut Lord Ragnarok had given him. His heart sank even deeper; thanks to his own hubris and pride, the King of Night was going to return and the world would fall to evil.Excelsior and the Quest for Arthenon Chapter 19 by writemaster93
He heard the sound of grass crunching behind and turned to see yet another soul-crushing sight: his friends, all bearing fatal wounds. Jabro had two large stab wounds in his chest, Almira’s horn had been broken off and driven into her throat, Mantor looked like he’d been crushed, Roxxor has a hole blasted onto the side of his head, and Khobra had a gaping hole in his chest. All of them looked forlorn and miserable, save for Khobra, who looked angry.
“SSSo, thisss isss it, then?” Khobra hissed seething.

Excelsior and the Quest for Arthenon Chapter 18On the other side was an endless gray void, an endless sky with no ground beneath it. There was something there, however; a city, black as nightmare and just as foreboding. From where the heroes stood outside where the gate could be, they could see the spired buildings standing right next to each other like soldiers, no gaps in between them with their shutters closed and doorways like yawning mouths. The gray cobblestones of the street ran neat and evenly with black metal streetlamps on the sides, all unlit. There was no sound at all save for the sound of their own breathing. Everything seemed to be made of metal and stone, to give the impression that there was no comfort in this city, that only evil dwelled here. That, mixed with silence, made for a very daunting atmosphere.Excelsior and the Quest for Arthenon Chapter 18 by writemaster93
“Astounding…” Excelsior breathed.
“HELLO! ...Hello…hello…hello…” Jabro called out.
His voice echoed and bounced endlessly thr

Nothing made a sound.Excelsior and the Quest for Arthenon Chapter 17 by writemaster93
“Well? Where’sss thisss final dessstination?” Khobra asked.
“It should be here…” Excelsior said, turning over the map. On the back, glowing text suddenly appeared.
“’Oh fortune hunter who hath come this far, the end of thy quest draws near. Let the moon shine down upon the crystal beacon and the door to the end will appear.’” Excelsior read.
“Beacon? What beacon?” Jabro asked.
“That’s all it says.” Excelsior replied.
“This field is huge; you hide a caravan here and no one would find it.” Almira said.
“Well, we won’t find it by standing here.” Excelsior
Discord's reformationAbout Discord’s reformation: could it have worked in a believable way? Yes. If, say, they needed his power for some reason or he was released again or if he escaped. But the number one problem with how his reformation is one big question: WHY? Why did Celestia up and suddenly decide to reform Discord? Was there an impending crisis? Did they need his magic? Did she just suddenly decide that one of Equestria’s most powerful and destructive villains was just misunderstood? Also, I know Fluttershy got tough with Discord when he began abusing her trust, but did she forget what he did to her and her friends? What if it didn’t work? Then she and the others would’ve been unable to stop him! Maybe the whole thing was just an excuse to get the Elements near Twilight so she could screw them up for MMC but it also proved Celestia didn’t really believe Discord had changed. But of course, who caresDiscord's reformation by writemaster93
