Excelsior and the Quest for Arthenon Chapter 16The roc dropped them all off in a land choked with thick jungle-the Jungle of Jeopardy. The plants were thick and very numerous while cries of unseen creatures pierced the hot air, which was warm enough to rival the Desert of Despair.Excelsior and the Quest for Arthenon Chapter 16 by *writemaster93
“Thank you, lady.” Excelsior said to her.
The roc screeched and took off; leaving behind a single feather which Excelsior caught and put in his bag.
“Everybody accounted for?” He asked.
“I’d say so.” Almira said.
“Not yet.” Khobra said, pointing at a bush where Jabro was retching.
After a few moments, he came back wiping his unseen mouth with a queasy look in his eye.
“You okay?” Excelsior asked.
“Just…peachy.” Jabro coughed.
“All right, then! Let’s get a move on!”
And so, the group made their way into the jungle.
“Pansy.” Khobra snickered.
“Shut up.” Jabro grumbled.
Librarian vs. princess"Creating a life that reflects your values and satisfies your soul is a rare achievement. In a culture that relentlessly promotes avarice and excess as the good life, a happy person doing his own work is usually considered an eccentric, if not a subversive. Ambition is only understood if it's to rise to the top of some imaginary ladder of success. Someone who takes an undemanding job because it affords him the time to pursue other interests and activities is considered a flake. A person who abandons a career in order to stay home and raise children is considered not to be living up to his potential. As if a job title and a salary are the sole measure of human worth. You'll be told in a hundred ways, some subtle and some not, to keep climbing and never be satisfied with where you are, who you are, and what you're doing. There are a million ways to sell yourself out and I guarantee you'll hear about them. To invent your own life's meaning iLibrarian vs. princess by *writemaster93
Excelsior and the Quest for Arthenon Chapter 15They came out at the foot of a mountain. Said mountain was made of pitch black rock, like volcanic ore, save for its snow-tipped peak, which seemed to scrape the sky. Cold, harsh eye-like caverns seemed to glare out at the rest of the world, as if it wished to crush everyone and everything under its massive being.Excelsior and the Quest for Arthenon Chapter 15 by *writemaster93
“You’re not seriously implying we have to climb that, do you?” Almira said to Excelsior.
“Hey, I had to climb a volcano! At least this won’t spout living lava that’ll cook you alive.” Excelsior replied.
“Where do you think the Sacred Artifact is hidden?” Jabro asked.
“My guess would be in a cave of some sort.” Excelsior said. “Our best bet would be up there, in those really big ones.”
With that, Excelsior began to climb and the others followed. The journey was somewhat slow and difficult, Jabro’s small limbs and Almira’s hooves provin
Excelsior and the Quest for Arthenon Chapter 14The Shifting Sand deposited the four heroes on a hard, abandoned field. They were dirty and stank from their adventure in the Swamp of Sunken Dreams, but much to their relief, they found a nearby river to bathe in.Excelsior and the Quest for Arthenon Chapter 14 by *writemaster93
After they cleaned up and had a bite to eat, Excelsior checked the map.
“All right, we should have arrived at the Coliseum of Corruption, where numerous bloody gladiatorial fights were held, the bloodshed and angry spirits still trying to make anyone who enters fight to the death. It’s nearby.”
“What makes you say that?” Jabro asked.
The mist around them cleared, revealing a large coliseum of black stone with demons carved in the pillars.
“Call it a hunch.” Excelsior said.
They walked through the coliseum’s mouth-like entrance and into the arena, the Ring of Agony. The ground was stained and discolored with ancient bloodstains and littered with rusted weapons and armor. The walls of the ring
I originally joined Down with Molestia on tumblr because I was sick of how it was another way to drag Celestia's name through the mud. But when I joined it, it opened my eyes to how mysogynistic and intolerant the brony community and the rest of the world can be towards women. For example, DWM was founded by a rape survivor who thought that Molestia and her jokes weren't funny and wanted to raise awareness about rape culture and bronies roasted her alive. They called her a liar, oversensitive, said she wanted to kill free speech, drew pictures of her ponysona being raped by Molestia, once she went shopping, was harassed by two male bronies and was forced to hide in a dressing room. Eventually, she quit the DWM movement until it was recently revived as bronyparctears, which calls bronies and non-bronies alike on their sexist bullshit. And believe me, it is amazing how low these people can be. It makes me ashamed to be a straight white male.
For example, read this article about how a mother was driven out of her town after her daughter was raped: gawker.com/family-gets-driven-…
